A RippleCard™ is a token of goodwill as well as an actual card. The purpose of the RippleCard™ is to pass the card on to someone while doing something nice for that person. In turn, the next person will do the same for someone else, thus creating a ripple effect of acts of kindness, which we refer to as Ripples.
The idea of the RippleCard™ was conceived based on the premise that the power to make positive changes in the world was in the hands of ordinary people going out of their way to affect the lives of others in a positive and meaningful way.
Today, April 7th, 2009, the first Ripple will be born in a place somewhere between Cincinnati, Ohio and Chicago, Illinois. The Ripple starts today, on the campus of Purdue University, in West Lafayette, Indiana. So Boiler Up, and let's get this Ripple Started Purdue!!!
